Brian Reichenbach to Lee University

Brian Reichenbach has been appointed Assistant Professor of Trumpet at Lee University. 

Brian comes to Tennessee following two decades of playing and teaching in the Chicago area, where he performed with a variety of ensembles including International Chamber Artists, Elmhurst Symphony, Chicago Sinfonietta, Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, Quad Cities Symphony, and New Chicago Brass. 

As an educator, Brian previously served in various roles at Trinity International University, Olivet Nazarene University, Wheaton College, and College of DuPage. He appears regularly as a guest soloist, clinician, and adjudicator and teaches at Csehy Summer School of Music in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. 

Concertizing as the Great Lakes Duo, Brian will soon release a recording with Rhonda Sider Edgington featuring new concert and sacred settings for trumpet and organ. In 2019 he gave a presentation on memorization in the trumpet studio alongside Terry Everson at the International Trumpet Guild Conference in Miami.

He earned a DMA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MM from DePaul University, and a BM from Wheaton College. Brian's trumpet teachers have included Charles Daval, Ronald Romm, John Hagstrom, Terry Schwartz, Stephen Burns, Steve Heitzer, and Ken Benjamin.
