Commissioned by the Norway’s Nidaros Cathedral Girls' Choir for their 20th anniversary, this moving Requiem features jazz trumpeter Arve Henriksen with organ, girls’ choir and community choir. Loosely based on the requiem mass, Andrew Smith’s piece is a reflection on the tragic massacre of 22 July 2011 on Utøya in Norway. Improvisation will feature alongside the notated score during the Requiem. The first half will feature a Jazz set duo from Arve Henriksen and keyboard player Ståle Storløkken.

The concert on Tue 26 Nov features a jazz duo set with the renowned trumpeter Arve Henriksen and Norwegian Jazz musician Ståle Storløkken on keys. The concert also features Andrew Smith's Requiem which combines improvisation alongside the notated score. The voices of Choralia, the acclaimed girls’ choir from Wells Cathedral School and the LSO Community Choir will be singing the Requiem. UBS Soundscapes: Eclectica concerts include some of the most innovative and eclectic sounds in London, set at the beautiful LSO St Luke's, a former 18th century Hawksmoor church with a converted contemporary interior.
