Trumpet workshop with Dutch trumpeter Marco Blaauw, to be held on July 20th at NYU. Marco is starring in a Stockhausen production at the Lincoln Center Festival. While he is here, Host Joe Drew invited him to give a talk about his work with Stockhausen, his innovations with the double bell trumpet, as well as his theories about the trumpet.  The workshop is free and open to the public. Marco also welcomes any trumpeters who want to play for him during the session.  Yamaha is also loaning out its double bell prototype for this event. It will be a great opportunity for players to try out a double bell trumpet.  I hope you can add this event to the ITG calendar to help spread the word about it.
