Logan Place Visits Fort Lewis College

Dr. Logan Place, Instructor of Trumpet at Southeastern Louisiana University, completed a two-day residency October 9^th and 10^th, 2012 at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.

Place presented a master class, taught lessons, advised students on all aspects of trumpet playing, and coached sectionals. He presented a recital on October 10^th in Roshong Recital Hall where he performed Giuseppe Torelli’s Sonata in D (G.1), Joseph Turrin’s Four Miniatures, Tim Jansa’s duet Wings: A Contemplative Fanfare with Marc Reed, and Alexandra Pakhmutova’s Concerto for Trumpet. FLC collaborative pianists Linda Mack Bervin and Lisa Campi Walters accompanied Place.
