Second Edition of the Trompettes Sous Les Étoiles Festival

The Second Edition of the Trompettes Sous Les Étoiles Festival was held on June 17 through July 23, 2023, on the small South Pacific Island of New Caledonia.

International and local musicians received the opportunity to work with international guests Cristophe Leloil (France), Yoshio Kobayashi (Japan), and Capharnaüm Quartet (France) in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

Sponsored by Ibrahim Maalouf, the festival consisted of 18 concerts, two master classes, a film screening, and more. For several years, the Music and Dance Conservatory of New Caledonia has aimed to develop the prominence of brass playing throughout New Caledonia. More than 150 musicians now practice the trumpet and the trombone throughout the country.
