Organizational News: Call for photos from ITG conferences prior to 2001

The International Trumpet Guild will be 40 years old in 2015! Over that length of time, many world-class players, educators and scholars have supported and been involved with the ITG through clinics, performances, and presentations at our international conferences. The inspiration and excitement created by these individuals and the myriad activities that prevail at our conferences are part of the guild's history. The ITG Journal is a wonderful window into those activities, with its reviews, pictures, and remembrances. Another avenue of remembering the excitement and feel of those activities is in the photographs taken by participants - those informal snapshots of the soloists, group performances, clinics, competitions, panels, and personal interaction. It is pictures of this nature that the ITG Archives wishes to collect, especially of those conferences prior to 2001.

To that end, the International Trumpet Guild is proud to extend to all an invitation to share photographs of ITG international conferences prior to 2001with ITG, the purpose for which is two-fold: 1) to be used to create posters for display at the 40th annual ITG conference in Columbus, Ohio, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the ITG, and 2) to add to and support the ongoing effort to make the photographic history contained in the ITG Archives as complete as possible.

When submitting materials, please identify the date of the photograph and the subject. Please be aware that submitted materials cannot be returned. It is strongly encouraged that electronic copies of photographs are scanned at 300 dots per inch (dpi) or better.

Photos can be submitted in the following ways:
