U.S. Army Old Guard Hires Three New Trumpeters

The United State Army Old Guard has appointed three new trumpeters as Bugle Musicians, as a result of auditions held in early September 2020.

SGT Peter Schiller, from Wallingford, PA earned a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from New England Conservatory, Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Schulich School of Music of McGill University, and an Artist Diploma from Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. He is currently serving at the U.S. Army School of Music.

SGT David Burrell, from Fayetteville, Georgia earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Trumpet Performance and Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from University of Georgia. He is currently serving in the 282d Army Band at Fort Jackson.

Ross Mitchell is from Ennis, TX. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Baylor University School of Music and a Master in Music Performance from Florida State University College of Music.
