Trumpet soloists and ensembles representing over forty universities from across the United States attended this three-day competition.  Billed as the largest NTC to date, the 28th edition, hosted by Jason Dovel (assistant professor of trumpet at UK), was the first to include the newly created Pre-College ensemble division.
