In memoriam: Scott Laskey (1953-2018)

The International Trumpet Guild has learned of the passing of mouthpiece and trumpet manufacturer, Scott Laskey.

Laskey was born April 17, 1953. He graduated from Lake Park High School, and later studied at Illinois Wesleyan University and Roosevelt University.

Laskey began working for Renold Schilke in 1975; Laskey subsequently started his own company, The Laskey Company, in 1998. His mouthpieces are used throughout the world.
