Purpose of Position:

The School of the Arts at Northern Kentucky University invites applications for a non-tenure track renewable lecturer of Trumpet in Brass beginning Fall (August) 2017.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include: teaching music coursework, including but not limited to trumpet in brass methods and observing students in laboratory teaching settings.

The candidate will also conduct trumpet in brass ensembles as requested by the School of the Arts and participate in service on program, school, and/or university committees.


The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. or DMA, and have a minimum of three years of effective teaching in P-12 schools.

A successful record of teaching at the collegiate level is preferred.

Appointment begins August 2017.
