The International Trumpet Guild (ITG) sponsors several on-going competitions and contests that offer cash prizes and scholarships. Official rules supersede the brief descriptions on this page. Official rules are available at appropriate times for each event in printed format or may be downloaded from this site.

Ellsworth Smith International Trumpet Solo Competition. (Sponsored by ITG and the Columbus Foundation of Columbus, Ohio).$11,000 total prizes. Held once every three years. Next competition to tentatively set for October 9-13, 2008 at Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts USA, with specific information and rules expected to be published in early 2007.
