James Zingara has recently been appointed trumpet professor at Troy State University in Alabama. He received degrees from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, East Carolina University and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Illinois. His principal teachers include Michael Ewald, Britton Theurer, Manny Laureano, Charles Schlueter and John Aley. From 1989-1996 Mr. Zingara served as principal cornet/trumpet soloist of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. He has performed with Sinfonia da Camera, Virginia Symphony, National Symphonic Winds, Illinois Symphony, Columbus Symphony, Danville Symphony, Cheyenne Symphony, and the Chicago Chamber Brass.
