The Ohio Trumpet Workshop '99	Aug 10 99

The first annual Ohio Trumpet Workshop was held last June 13 through 18, 1999 at Ohio University in Athens, OH. Clinicians for the event were John Rommel, Professor of Trumpet at Indiana University, John Schlabach, Professor of Trumpet at Ohio University, and Ernie Bastin, Ohio University Professor of Trumpet and Jazz Improvisation. Twenty four high school and college students from Ohio and Kentucky attended the workshop. The workshop was designed to provide an intensive experience for trumpet players high school age and older, with participants attending warm-up/playing fundamental sessions, individual coaching classes, master classes, a recital presented by the clinicians, listening sessions, and other activities.
