  Tim Altman was named Director of Bands, music education coordinator, and trumpet instructor at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He recently completed his D.M.A. coursework at the University of Kentucky, where he served as a teaching assistant to Terry Everson. Altman has performed with the Roanoke Symphony, West Virginia Symphony, Lexington Philharmonic, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Madison Symphony, and many other professional orchestras. He has also performed with Vince DiMartino’s Big Band, the Lexington Brass Band, faculty quintets at the University of Kentucky and the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater, and various jazz ensembles and chamber groups. He and his wife Johanna are the creators of the Altman mute bags, trumpet bags, and other items.
