Donald J. Bernstein

ITG member Donald J. Bernstein, who turns 80 in January, performed as Principal Trumpet in Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 on October 20, 2007. Bernstein was playing with the full 78-piece Massapequa Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by David Leibowitz, in Massapequa, Long Island, New York.

Leading a full brass section of five trumpets, (ITG members Bernstein, Nicholas Shmorhun, David Kopstein, Matt Raskin, and John Bennett), seven horns, four trombones and tuba, Don gave a quality performance for which his trumpet colleagues applaud him and wish him many more satisfying happy trumpet events!
