The Fifth Ionian Summer Music Academy featured seminars and concerts for all brass instruments on the beautiful Greek island of Corfu, taking place 1-7 July 2007.

Students from all over the world joined hosts Melos Brass and visiting faculty Frits Damrow, principal trumpet of the Concertgebow Orchestra, Reinhold Friedrich, trumpet professor of the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe, and Gregory Jones, trumpet professor at Truman State University, in a week of learning and social interaction. Featured concerts also included trombone virtuoso Christian Lindberg and Mnozil Brass from Austria.

The Sixth Academy will be in the first week of July, 2008: all interested students are welcome to apply via the Melos Brass website.
