Trumpet artist Fábio Brum is now sponsored by Stomvi Trumpets. Brum, a native Brazilian now resident in Paris, has an active schedule as a trumpet soloist: in 2007 he will give master classes and solo concerts in South and North America as well as Europe. Brum has played with numerous orchestras around the world both as soloist and as an orchestral trumpeter. He has won prizes including: Second Prize in the 2001 International Trumpet Guild Solo Competition; First Prize in the 2003 National Trumpet Competition College Etude Division (USA); Second Prize in the 2003 National Trumpet Competition College Solo Division (USA). Most recently he was a finalist in the 2006 “Città di Porcia” International Trumpet Competition. Brum graduated in 2005 from Prof. Reinhold Friedrich's class at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe (Germany). At the age of sixteen he went to the USA and studied trumpet with Dr. Michael Tunnell. In Brazil Fàbio Brum has studied with trumpeters Naílson Simões, Paulo Mendonça, Nelson Oliveira and with his grandfather Inácio Pepino.
