The trumpet studio at the University of Kansas hosted six guest trumpet artists in the 2006-2007 academic year, according to Steve Leisring, assistant professor of trumpet at KU in Lawrence, Kansas.

KU trumpet students played for and received valuable insight from the following individuals:

• Michael Sachs, Principal Trumpet in the Cleveland Orchestra
• Jon Lewis, KU alumnus and Los Angeles-based studio trumpeter
• Steve Hendrickson, Principal Trumpet of the National Symphony Orchestra
• Chuck Seipp, KU alumni and member of Pershing's Own US Army Concert Band
• Gary Schutza, Principal Trumpet in the Kansas City Symphony
• Todd Hastings, Pittsburgh State University trumpet professor
