Demuynck's Exuberant - world premiere in Oakville, Ontario May 8, 2007

The world premiere of Exuberant for Trumpet and Piano, by Toronto composer Charles Demuynck, was given at Appleby College, Oakville, Ontario on April 22 by Robert Venables, member of the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and former Principal Trumpet of the Hamilton Philharmonic (ON). The US premiere will be given by Barton Woomert, Associate Principal Trumpet of the Toronto Symphony, on July 16, 2007 at the Lancaster County Music Camp at Elizabethtown College, PA. In addition to composing, Charles Demuynck is the Artistic Director of Masterworks of Oakville Chorus and Orchestra, and has also been Director of Orchestral Activities at the University of Evansville (IN) and Northwestern State University of Louisiana.
