Dave Scott and John Irish sign up two new members

Recruiting new members was the order of the day at the recent convention of the Texas Music Educators Association (February, 2007) in San Antonio. Dave Scott, the ITG Membership and Development Director organized a booth at the convention where his team signed up 38 new members — 27 of whom opted for two-year memberships.

From among the 23,000+ people attending the convention, thousands passed by the booth where the team gave out brochures, sold CDs, and chatted with many current and future members of the ITG. The Guild also sponsors a booth at the National Trumpet Competition (Fairfax, Virginia) and the Mid-West Band and Orchestra Clinic (Chicago, Illinois).
