As part of his duties as ITG Membership and Development Director, David Scott organized a booth at the 2006 convention Texas Music Educators’ Association (TMEA), February 16-18, 2006. Along with John Irish and Jean-Christophe Dobrzelewski, the team signed up 26 new ITG members, 21 of whom committed to two-year memberships. Of the 26 new members, 16 were regular memberships, nine were students, and one senior citizen signed up. For the three days of the convention, the ITG booth was seen by thousands of convention attendees, ITG brochures were given to hundreds of trumpet enthusiasts, and many bought CDs produced by the ITG. The Guild also maintains a regular presence at the National Trumpet Conference (Fairfax, Virginia - March) and the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic (Chicago, Illinois - December).
