With Subito Music's recent acquisition of Seesaw Music, many of Stanley Friedman's compositions for brass and other instruments have become more readily available. Included are new editions of Variations On The Rag for brass quintet and Classical Concerto, now published in Sonata version for trumpet and piano, both in the original key of C and in the less strenuous key of B-flat.

Also now available from Subito are Friedman's 2003 ITG Composition Prize-winning brass quintet, Spanish Dances, and his Symmetrical Studies, a collection of original trumpet exercises and recital etudes. In 2007 Friedman's wind ensemble composition, A Twist In The Wind, will become available from Subito. This major new piece was commissioned by a consortium of ten universities across the United States.

More of Friedman's music is published by Editions BIM, including Zephyr Dances (versions for brass quartet and quintet), La Pittura (brass sextet; 1993 ITG winner), Solus (solo trumpet) and Heart of Darkness (wind ensemble).
