Gordon Mathie has added new items to his "ITG Lending Library". These are:

• Franceschini, Sonata in D (2 Piccolo Trumpets in A and Band)
• Neruda, Concerto (Bb Trumpet and Band)
  • Regular accompaniment
  • Easier accompaniment
• Stolzel, Concerto (Bb Piccolo Trumpet and Band)

Here Mathie explains the background and operation of this remarkable initiative:

"The ITG Lending Library was a project of mine (after retirement) to give trumpet classes Baroque literature other than the Altenburg. Three of them are published by Triplo Press [please see web link below]. The others [around nineteen] are transcriptions, for piccolo or D trumpet and trumpet ensemble, of Baroque concerti . A complete list of the library can be found in the June 2003 ITG Journal (p. 94). For ITG members, the procedure is simple: send me the titles you wish (just 2 or 3 at a time, please) and I will send you the score and parts. You are welcome to make copies and send the originals back to me. Postage back to me is the only cost involved."
