Lecturer of Trumpet, Part-time Adjunct

Minimum qualifications: Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in
the field of music from a regionally accredited institution or university required. Strong trumpet teaching and performing ability.

Texas A&M University-Kingsville is part of the Texas A&M University System. Located 40 miles from Corpus Christi and 120 miles north of Brownsville, Texas A&M University-Kingsville is a rapidly growing Carnegie Research Level 2 institution of ~8,000 students offering doctoral, master's and bachelor's degrees. The student body reflects the ethnic diversity of South Texas with approximately 65% of the student body being of Hispanic origin. Kingsville is uniquely positioned in a semiarid region famous for its mild subtropical climate, friendly people, popular beaches, traditional Hispanic and ranching cultures, yearround outdoor activities, low cost of living and winter "snowbirds" fleeing northern climates. The Department of Music, an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music, currently enrolls about 215 undergraduate and 12 graduate music majors, with 21 full-time and 7 part-time faculty members. The department offer the following degree. Bachelor of Music in Performance and Teacher Certification, and Master of Music in Music Education.
