The trumpet studio at Pittsburg State University in southeast Kansas hosted several guest artists and concerts this year. Participating artists included Vince DiMartino (Distinguished Artist, Centre College), Chip Schutza (principal Trumpet, Kansas City Symphony), and Alan Hood (Professor of Trumpet, University of Denver). Pitt State trumpet students participated in sessions covering all aspects of trumpet performance from daily routines through solo literature, breathing, and jazz improvisation.
