In the United States, the White House Commission on Remembrance, the National Association for Music Education, Bugles Across America and the Getzen Instrument Company have partnered in calling for all upper brass players to sound Taps during the "Moment" on Memorial Day, Monday May 31st, at 3 pm. Just pull out the horn and sound Taps from a location of your choosing.

The Getzen Instrument Company will enter anyone who participates into a drawing for a Getzen American Heritage Field Trumpet. Simply download a form from www.fieldtrumpet.com or from the Commission's site (see URL below), fill it out and mail it back to Getzen to enter.
