Empire Brass trumpeter Marc Reese spent a week in Caracas, Venezuela directing FESNOJIV's first ever Brass and Organ Festival.  The week-long festivities consisted of master classes and rehearsals run by Mr Reese and featuring organist William Kuhlman. Reese and Kuhlman played an impeccable recital of works including Telemann's Heroic Music and an absolutely beautiful rendition of Peter Maxwell Davies Farewell to Stromness.  The first annual brass and organ concert was a great success and brought together brass professionals and students from all over Venezuela.  The concert included works by Strauss, Widor and Hartmann. FESNOJIV is the Fundación del Estado para el Sistema Nacional de las Orquestas y Coros Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela (Venezuelan National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs).
