ForX, a new work for horn, 4 trumpets, 3 trombones, bass trombone, and tuba, by young US composer William Jason Raynovich, was performed in Athens, Greece by the Athens Municipal Small Brass Ensemble on February 28th, 2002.

The Director/Conductor of the ensemble, Dr. Zervas, commented, "Your piece is very sonorous and effective and was received very well by the audience."

The difficulty level of the piece on a scale of 1 to 10 is 7. The composer used a self-similarity system he has been developing over the past five years to write the piece. The piece honors the recent passing of the composer Iannis Xenakis, hence the title ForX(enakis).

Those interested in a complimentary score and recording for performance considerations should contact the composer, William Jason Raynovich, directly at raynovich@ameritech.net.
