The Rafael Méndez Library, housed at Arizona State University in Tempe, now has a complete website. Type in mendezlibrary.asu.edu to see hundreds of photos, original manuscripts, newspaper clippings, and concert programs about this famed trumpeter. The website was set up as part of a doctoral dissertation project by John Marchiando and offers online visitors "a facinating glimpse into the trumpet world during the 1930s - 1970s." The Library itself, established in 1993, houses more than 300 original
manuscripts and about 700 sets of parts of Méndez compositions
and arrangements along with Méndez memorabilia of all kinds.
