Dowani playalongs

Dowani International of Liechtenstein announce the launch of their new playalong range.

The range covers most common instruments but for the trumpet player the main interest is in the nine volumes now available for trumpet: a five-volume trumpet and piano collection (level: easy to intermediate) is complemented by a three-volume trumpet and organ offering at intermediate level: the range is topped off by single volume containing the J. Haydn Trumpet Concerto.

Dowani's claim of high quality performances and editions is supplemented by their novel idea of providing performances at varying tempi, so that for each track there are three versions of the backing plus one complete performance at tempo. The trumpet soloist on the current trumpet album range is Bolshoi Theatre soloist Boris Schlepakov. The scores are annotated with detailed CD index marks to make it easier for the player to find their place or to cue the CD to a particular passage.

The volumes all retail at €19.90 (roughly US$21 or UK£14) and contain up to nine pieces. The press release contains many testimonials from music educators from the USA and Europe. The website at www.dowani.com contains more product information and an online shop. The products are available now in Europe and from May 1st 2003 in the United States and other markets.
