NTC 2004 logo

The US National Trumpet Competition takes place March 11-14, 2004.

NTC Executive Director Dr. Dennis Edelbrock writes to point out that the closing date of December 15th is soon upon us. As the NTC website makes clear, the audition tapes sent in by applicants must be postmarked by 15th December.

Many more details will be found on the website, including a new division, Baroque Trumpet. With a wealth of other classes available, and 2004's guest artists the Canadian Brass, the competition promises to be a major event for the eligible groups (students aged 11 to 28, residing in the United States or Canada) and the audience at George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia.

It is not, at the time of writing, too late to apply: eligible trumpet players considering doing so are strongly advised to visit the NTC website now to learn more!
