From the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna), news of Professor Carole Dawn Reinhart, soloist and orchestral principal. Reinhart is a charter member of ITG and was on the first Board of Directors.

Reinhart received the prestigious "Pioneer Award" (for perseverance, professionalism, and outstanding achievements in performance and musicianship) from the International Women's Brass Conference, presented at the June conference at Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. A previous ITG News story (referenced below) gives a full report on the IWBC.

In December, she will receive the coveted "Austrian Cross of Honor for Science and Art", bestowed by the president of Austria.
