USAF Band Trumpet Ensemble with David Champouillon ...

... and with the ETSU Trumpet Studio

On October 10, the United States Air Force Band Trumpet Ensemble (Washington, DC) spent the day at East Tennessee State University giving master classes and performances. Members of the trumpet ensemble were SMSGT Clarence Mitchell, MSGT Curt Christensen, MSGT Robert McConnell, TSGT Christian Pagnard, TSGT Nathan Clark, and TSGT Valenin Lukashuk.

As part of their master class, they performed Lo Presti's Suite for Five Trumpets, and Ewazen's Fanfare and Fugue and Fantasia for Seven Trumpets with ETSU trumpet professor Dr. David Champouillon. Master class topics included breathing, performance practice, the use of imagery, stylistic concerns, and practice routines.
