Millennium Brass Quintet 
Vince DiMartino and Marvin Stamm

The 6th International Course for Brass and Woodwinds took place in Kalavrita, Greece, between 1 - 10 August 2003 and was judged a great success, with many participants from all over the world.

In the trumpet class Vince DiMartino, Richard Illman, Gerasimos Ioannidis and Marvin Stamm worked on musical techniques in various styles with thirty students.

Every evening most of the classes gave open-air concerts and later all the participants played again for an event called "Jazz in the street".

The Millennium Brass Quintet played with Marvin Stamm and Bill Mays together in one event. Moreover Marvin Stamm, Vince DiMartino, Marty Erickson and Bill Mays gave short concerts and filled the whole city with harmonious sounds.

Bill Mays and Marvin Stamm's concert took place on Saturday 9th August and received great applause from an enthusiastic crowd.

For the closing ceremony on 10th August the Millennium Brass Quintet gave a last concert with the Wind Band made up of course participants.

George Babarakos, the host of this festival and the person behind the whole concept, promised another festival next year in 2004, a special event because of the Olympic games.
