Michael Tunnell and John LaBarbera received awards at the University of Louisville (Kentucky) 2003 Celebration of Faculty Excellence ceremony on April 28, 2003. Tunnell was awarded a Distinguished Teaching Award, and LaBarbera was awarded an Outstanding Scholarship, Research, and Creative Activity Award. Tunnell and LaBarbera are past editors for the International Trumpet Guild Journal.
