Larry Wiseman
Indianapolis trumpeter Larry Wiseman passed away from pancreatic cancer on March 3, 2002.

Larry was one of the most respected Lead trumpet players in the Midwest. His 40 year career took him into every musical genre. While based in Indianapolis, Larry traveled throughout the world as Lead trumpet with the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra.

Larry was the son of Laurel Wiseman, trumpeter and C. G. Conn representative based in Elkhart, IN. Larry's 2 sons, Steve (33) and Jason (25) have followed in their father's footsteps as professional trumpeters. Both are based in New York City. Larry's wife, Dolly, is the maker of DollyBags, the fine-quality, hand-made instrument cases.
