Wiff Rudd has been named Professor of Trumpet and Chair of the Brass Department at Baylor University. Mr. Rudd has been Associate Professor of Trumpet at the University of Arkansas, principal trumpet with the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the Boston Mountain Chamber Players since 1998.

Rhythm and Brass, an international touring/recording brass and percussion ensemble, serves as Mr. Rudd's primary musical outlet. His Rhythm and Brass experiences include countless domestic tours and concerts in Japan, the Middle East, Canada, and the US Virgin Islands. The group has performed with numerous symphony orchestras and has recorded five CDs.

Mr. Rudd is an active soloist, orchestral and chamber musician, adjudicator and a Yamaha Artist/Clinician. Recent performances include appearing as a soloist at Chicago's Mid-West International Band and Orchestra Clinic and the New York premiere in Carnegie Hall of Joseph Turrin's "Chronicles" for solo trumpet and wind ensemble. He formerly taught at Oklahoma Baptist University. He holds a B.M.E. from Baylor University and an M.M. from the University of Northern Colorado.
