DiMartino performed the Kennan Sonata with the Wind Ensemble and a host of jazz selections with the faculty jazz combo, the Climb, and Lamont's Jazz Orchestra. Vince conducted an impromptu master class for DU's trumpet students, a more formal master class for the Denver community and attended and observed rehearsals and classes during the residency.

In association with his visit to Denver University, Vince also worked with the musicians of the Air Force "Band of the Rockies" in Colorado Springs. Says Al Hood, DU trumpet professor and a former student of DiMartino, "the students and the faculty alike were all thrilled and excited by Vince's boundless energy, effortless playing and positive, caring attitude towards music and the teaching profession.
