The Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble in performance
The inaugural concert of the Nebraska Trumpet Ensemble was held June 4, 2002, at First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. This ensemble was formed to provide trumpet players in Nebraska the opportunity to perform trumpet ensemble literature, to play together in both small and large group settings, to perform new works for trumpet ensemble, and to gather for informal reading sessions.

The following trumpeters, from Lincoln, Omaha, and Beatrice, Nebraska, performed on the concert: Debbie Bouffard, Joel Edwards, Amy Gammel, Sam Ghormley, Dean Haist, Bob Krueger, Brad Obbink, Jeff Patton, Brian Pfoltner, Barbara Schmit, Dennis Schneider, and Darryl White. The concert also featured organist Jack Levick and timpanist Richard Jones. Repertoire included a commissioned work for twelve trumpets, organ, and timpani, entitled Mass Fragments, by Nolan Schmit, who also conducted the concert.
