A Brazilian Collection
Luis Engelke, professor of trumpet at Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland, recently released his first solo CD titled A Brazilian Collection. This recording chronicles numerous styles with nine diverse compositions. These interesting works include little known lyrical songs and dance styles from Northeast Brazil such as frevo, baião, and maracatú. Lighthearted and energetic classical settings comprise genres from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

Included are seven first recordings that capture the essence of Brazilian nationalism. With everything from boleros to sambas, these new and exciting compositions refresh the musical tastes of classical music lovers and delight the palates of Latin connoisseurs.

A Brazilian Collection is available exclusively from Amazon.com.
