Sonus Brass, an American brass quintet, spent a two-week residency in Venezuela from May 28 through June 10, 2001. The residency included a two-week symposium consisting of master classes and chamber music coaching in Caracas. In addition, two concerts were given in Caracas, and one concert was given in Barquisimeto in conjunction with the Venezuelan brass quintet Barquisimetal. Sonus Brass was sponsored in part by the Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela and UNESCO.
