 | | Malcolm McNab | From the 3th - 12th of November, 2000, trumpeter Malcolm McNab visited the Netherlands to present several clinics and a concert.
McNab's career as a recording artist in the Los Angeles studios has brought him the highest acclaim. His stunning list of credits, from the time he began his studio career in 1969 to the present, includes many of the most well-known soundtracks featuring the trumpet, including Dances with Wolves, Jaws, E.T., The Godfather, Indiana Jones, the Star Trek films, Jurassic Park, Waterworld, Independence Day; and just about 1200 others!
McNab presented clinics at three of the major professional music schools in the Netherlands. In total, more than 200 trumpet players attended these classes, held over four days at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam (Fritz Damrow, professor of trumpet) and the Hoge scholl voor de kunsten in Utrecht and Rotterdam (Mike Booth and Eric Vloeimans, professors of trumpet, Rotterdam, and Arto Hoomweb, Utrecht).
 | | McNab reviews a score with conductor Michel Haas | The final concert on the 11th of November was held in the Big Church in Noordwijk and was completely dedicated to filmmusic. McNab performed as a soloist and played with the Music All In Noordwijk Orchestra (Noordwijk, Holland) on some of his favorite soundtracks. The Music All In Noordwijk performing groups are comprised of serious amateur and professional musicians.The concert was sold-out and featured Stars in a Velvety Sky: Herbert L. Clarke, La Virgen de Macarana: Méndez, and with the Music All In band he played the solos from The Godfather and Independence Day. McNab's visit to Holland was organized by Music All In Noordwijk members Marcel Schot (trombone) and Loet van der Lee (trumpet).
