Anthony Scott Watson's Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra was
premiered in Philadelphia on October 8, 2001 at the Academy of

| Mark Lord | Gary Robert Buchanan | Trumpeter Mark Lord of Reno, Nevada, was the soloist in the premiere of the Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra by composer Gary Robert Buchanan. The composer conducted the premiere with The Foundation Orchestra, also of Reno.
The three-movement concerto spans some thirty-eight minutes of performance time and employs techniques common to the Classical, Romantic, and 20th-Century periods.
