The 2000 International Women's Brass Conference (IWBC) will convene at the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) on the campus of the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, from June 28 through July 1. Those in attendance will be among the first to enjoy the newly renovated facilities at the CCM. More than 40 artists will be appearing in recital settings and with jazz and classical ensembles. In addition to workshops, seminars, and master classes, the solo brass competition promises to be one of the most exciting events. Two cash prizes will be awarded in each of six instrument categories (horn, trumpet, trombone, bass trombone, euphonium, and tuba). The competition has no age limit and is open to men and women at student and professional levels. All competitors must be registered conference attendees.
