Allen Vizzutti
Allen Vizzutti has been appointed Artist-in-Residence at the University of Washington School of Music in Seattle. As an Artist-in-Residence, Vizzutti has taught at the Banff Center for the Performing Arts, Eastman School of Music, and Kansas State University.

Internationally distinguished as a performer, recording artist, and composer, Vizzutti is equally at home in both classical and jazz repertoire. Vizzutti has performed throughout the United States and in 30 countries with a wide range of artists and ensembles, including Chick Corea, Woody Herman, Chuck Mangione, Doc Severinsen and the Tonight Show Band, U.S. Air Force Airmen of Note, U.S. Army Blues, Japan's NHK Symphony Orchestra, and the Kosei Wind Orchestra.

He has appeared as a guest classical and jazz soloist with symphony orchestras in Budapest, Germany, Honolulu, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Phoenix, St. Louis, Syracuse, and Tokyo, among others. Vizzutti's status as an artist has led to solo performances at the Banff Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, Montreux Jazz Festival, and Newport Jazz Festival.

He has recorded both jazz and classical CDs, as well as performing on many motion picture soundtracks, television shows, commercials, and recordings with artists such as Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand. The Allen Vizzutti Trumpet Method, published by Alfred Music, has become a standard work for trumpet study worldwide.

Vizzutti earned B.M. and M.M. degrees from the Eastman School of Music, as well as a Performer's Certificate, and the only Artist's Diploma ever awarded to a wind player.
