Grant Peters, Lukas Chorosinski and John Prescott in Trzebnica, Poland.
A new work for two trumpets and organ, Toccata and Fugues, was recently performed by Grant Peters, composer John Prescott, and organist Lukas Chorosinski as part of an SMSU Choral tour in cathedrals of Poland and the Czech Republic, May 20th - June 1st, 2000. The seven-minute work takes advantage of the reverberation possibilities available in large performance spaces in a highly antiphonal fashion.

Trumpet fanfares and interludes alternate with a neo-baroque type organ toccata until the very end, when all three performers become an ensemble both musically and physically.

Toccata and Fugues can be performed with any amount of natural reverberation, and is available from the composer. Those interested should contact the composer directly at jsp304f@mail.smsu.edu.
