Jens Lindemann (34), trumpeter with the Canadian Brass, while on tour in Germany, along with two passengers, survived a car accident on Germany's Autobahn Sunday, October 8th. The accident occurred outside of Hannover as the Porsche Cabriolet Lindemann was driving was forced wide on a turn by another vehicle which was speeding along an inside lane. After sliding into a ditch, the vehicle struck a grassy embankment, somersaulted three times and slid on its roof another 75 metres along the highway. All three occupants, Lindemann, cousin-in-law Dirk Reuker (33), and Reuker's five-year-old daughter Justine, all wearing seat belts, were unharmed.

Police at the scene said it was a miracle anyone survived in the convertible and commented that this particular stretch of highway was notorious for accidents.

Lindemann, who resides in Toronto with his wife Jennifer said, "I feel as though I've been given another chance. Everything happened so quickly that my only thoughts during the accident were the well-being of my niece and cousin. It was only after the fact that I realized how blessed I was myself."
