Dennis Ferry, Principal Trumpet of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva, Switz., recently performed the Ponchielli Concerto for Trumpet with the Harmonie Nautique, the official wind ensemble of the City of Geneva. The concert was given on May 6, 2000 in Victoria Hall. He will also be playing the concerto this summer on July 23 with the Denver Municipal Band conducted by Gerald Endsley.

In addition to being Principal Trumpet of a major European orchestra, Dennis is also one of the rare modern orchestral trumpet players to be an active performer on the natural trumpet, recently performing the Messiah in the Geneva Cathedral, as well as performing with various early music ensembles in France and Holland. He is also a regular member with the Boston Early Music Festival.
