Editions BIM announces the acquisition of The Brass Press and its affiliate publishing company, Brass Music Ltd. The Brass Press catalog of over 160 titles will be integrated into Editions BIM catalog. Stephen L. Glover was the founder (1970), editor, and owner of The Brass Press.
Many Brass Press titles are known and used worldwide including Albrechtsberger: Concertino (trumpet and piano), Altenburg: Trumpeters' and Kettledrummers' Art (1795) (English translation), Concone (Sawyer): Lyrical Studies for Trumpet or Horn, Turrin: Caprice (trumpet and piano), Vizzutti: Cascades and Advanced Etudes for Trumpet, and Webster: Method for Piccolo Trumpet. Jean-Pierre Mathez founded Editions BIM, one of Europe's leading brass music publishers, in 1969. Mathez is also the founder (1971) and editor of Brass Bulletin, an international brass magazine that is published in English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian and distributed in 80 countries.
