The 71st Academy Awards Show was performed on March 21, 1999 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. This year’s show was seen by around a billion and a half viewers, was the longest ever at 4 hours and 10 minutes, and was held on Sunday instead of the traditional Monday. The orchestra and singers were conducted by Bill Conti, and the trumpet section is pictured left to right: Warren Luening, Bob Findley, George Graham, Chuck Findley, Rick Baptist. Chuck Findley was the featured soloist, Rick Baptist was section leader, and the lead book was shared by Luening, Graham, Baptist, and Bob Findley.
